Pioneer Blu-Ray Drive can Write UltraHD Discs

Pioneer has added to its line of Blu-ray devices for PCs with the BDR-211UBK which supports Blu-ray UltraHD reading and writing so that it can be used for creating UltraHD Blu-rays. It’s an internal device and has 16X writing speed. and can write to different discs (BD (SL 25GB/DL 50GB) and BDXL (BD-R XL: TL 100GB/ QL 128GB, BD-RE XL: TL 100GB) ). The drive is bundled with a number of software apps.

The PC needs at least 6GB of RAM and a Windows 10 PC based on an Intel Kaby Lake 7th Generation chipset to process and view UltraHD content. Of course, the player also supports CD/DVD and other earlier formats. Check here for a full specification. The drive is selling in the US for $129.
