How Many Apple Engineers Working on AR?

A UBS analyst has said that Apple may have over 1,000 engineers working on augmented reality in Israel which is leading to speculation that technology like Google’s Tango real-world detection may be in the next iPhone. Observers have pointed out that Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, has been clear about his preference for AR over VR several times. Apple has previously bought PrimeSense, the original developer of the technology behind the Microsoft Kinect and RealFace. The company also bought a company called Linx Computational Imaging that had technology to use multiple imaging sensors to create depth maps. (Looks Like 3D Depth Capture is a Hot Topic)

Linx uses multiple Imagers to create depth maps and improve cameras.
