Research Concludes That VR Lacks Real Engagement

A recent study from the User Experience Strategies service at Strategy Analytics into VR, concludes that, whilst the VR market is poised for tremendous growth over the next few years, current VR experiences lack the context required for real engagement with the medium.

Growth in the VR market is expected to be driven by the creation experiences that allows the users to escape reality. The early adopters of VR are predominantly gamers who thrive in ‘being there’ in the game. However, one of the the biggest risks to the VR market is the hard-wired headset which restricts player movement.
